Please print this page for your convenience. Follow the step-by-step instructions provided below very carefully. If your company has an IT person on staff, please ask that person to do the installation for you. Contact your VisitCall representative if you need assistance.

How to install VisitCall Root Certificate.

During VisitCall login you may encounter the following warning: "The security certificate was issued by a company you have not chosen to trust." To avoid this warning you need to download and install VisitCall Root Certificate on each computer accessing VisitCall. Follow these steps:

  1. Right-click here. In the pop-up menu select "Save target as..."

  2. Save the certificate file to your hard drive. Make sure the file is saved as "VisitCallCA.cer". Important: Your browser may suggest a different file name (e.g. "VisitCallCA.htm" or simply "VisitCallCA" without ".cer" extension). Please change the file name to "VisitCallCA.cer".

  3. If you are running Windows 2000 or Windows XP, make sure you have administrative permissions.

  4. Open the folder where you saved the "VisitCallCA.cer" file and right-click on the file's name.

  5. In the pop-up menu select "Install certificate".

  6. Certificate Import Wizard will walk you through the installation process. You can accept all the defaults. This will install the VisitCall root certificate and will make VisitCall a Trusted Root Certification Authority.
